Prerequisites

Successful completion of Art 1 with a 90 or higher.
OR
Recommendation from a previous art instructor.

Requirements

Online Assignments

SRCSD provides Microsoft 365 to all students. Teams and other apps will be utilized for some assignments. There are desktop computers in my classroom available for use.

Written Assignments

Weekly assignments to promote critical thinking and improve writing skills.

10-12 Teacher-Directed Projects

2-3 will be assigned each quarter (9 weeks)

Course Description

In this advanced course, your child will experiment with the provided media using proper techniques to create a variety of artworks. They will practice, sketch, and manipulate the structural elements of art to implement the organizational principles of design in a composition. Through the critique process, students will learn how to evaluate art.
This course incorporates hands-on activities, online and written assignments.

$40 Supply Fee*

Covers all of the materials you will need throughout this one-year course. You will receive a sketchbook that you should bring to class every day.
